Ethan Eats Fruit With a "Nokay!" (his new favorite word)

So the only fruit Ethan has ever eaten in his life is dried fruit. Last night we had some really good strawberries. I said, "Ethan, do you want a strawberry?" Then he said, "No!" Later on, Steve was eating them and he said they were really good. I said, "Ethan, these strawberries are really really good. You should try one." Then he said, "Nokay!" Meaning, no, but then, okay. (He couldn't decide.) So I got one on the fork, thinking it would be a miracle if he ate it. He usually spits things out that he finally decides to try. I put it in his mouth. He chewed. Silence. Then he said, "It's Gooooood," with a smile on his cute face. Little turkey.

I think that is a fabulous word. I may start throwing it around for things I do not want to do like laundry and cleaning bathrooms. He's a cute one!

I love that word! I'm gonna try it. I'm glad he liked strawberries. I gave Jacob a little bit of a raspberry tonight and he hated it. Oh well, more for me!

This post inspired me to try give Julia some fresh fruit too. So I gave her a few pieces of apples, pears and even a cutie mandarine. Yeah, she loved them all. It kind of made me feel bad for only giving her bananas and canned peaches her whole life! Next time I am trying a strawberry too!
Ethan's a cutie. I am glad I will get to see him at the gym too now! :)
